7 short but wonderful games

what is your stance on story based or as I like to call them 'journey' games? Do you think they are innovative and relaxing and their should be more of them or do you think they are a huge money grabber and waste of time?

I personally think they are inbetween. it started as some nice ideas between indie people which caught on as people realised gaming could be considered a story-telling and art medium as well as for hardcore skill grinding stuff but then the stupid high up bastards got to it and started to make cheap crap with some sort of 'artistic' story which is really just the same rehashed stories from main stream games or other indie games with a fancy looking skin and then for some reason everyone still likes them! I like some of them I really do but it annoys me how the industry takes advantage of this and ruins it and how they are getting away with it coz they look nice. Personally, I wont pay something like £60 on a game which is 3 hours. That's not innovative! It's a 'journey' through my flippin wallet!

holy flying turd monkeyys on a stick that two brothers thing is literally taken straight from ico and associated spin-off games. the camera shots, the locations, even the mechanics. what a shite.

hold up a minute, tell me more about that swan thing. that looked interesting back there.

proteus looks horrible in every sense. the only good thing is the threequal from the namesake. don't know what i'm talking about? you're better off.

limbo is fun

firespy looks like farcry. please tell me i'm not the only one who sees a low res farcry here.

in the country in the night day or whatever is unfortunately a copy of a japanese title. pity.

journey. a game that destroys the phrase that it's not the destination that matters but the journey that counts by making you beg for the destination rather than spend another minute of playing through the same bland landscaped journey
