but your eyes can't register faster than 30 frames per second so what's the point?

it only makes sense if you have hanging frames
how fucked is the game if it hangs for 6 or 7 loops

reports say it hangs for 10 loops mostly and 250 occassionally

microsoft's solution to if you get flickering images is to speed up the frame rate so the flashes are more difficult to see. until the game crashes completely and you can't avoid that.
