Gaming Weekly Task

I'm afraid their won't be the month competition or year competition available until we have more members 
but for now we can do the weekly little tasks.
This weeks task is...
- Play a couple of hours of your first ever video game (or earliest one you can remember)

The earlist video game I remember playing (which I still have access to ) is Pokémon Blue which I borrowed from my bro when I heard all the hype. Whats funny is I hated it when I was young coz I was very impatient and when I couldn't find out what to do after the st anne left I just rage quit lol 
I haven't played it since coz I got the later games but I love pokemon now. I have a lot more patience with games in my more recent years obviously. I play rpgs and they take tons of patience. wow this ended up longer than I expected! Guess I am in a talking mood 
well basically, I am gonna play some pokemon blue. I may record it as well why not but I may not continue it on my channel till ages later coz I am playing pokemon x primarily right now

I had one small Pokemon faze in Middle School around when the games first came out and the show and cards were popular. I was into all of it for about a year or so and then sorta fizzled. X was the first one i picked up since then. I think i started getting turned off by the double releases everytime a new one came out. Was just a little too gimmicky for me plus i felt there wasnt big enough changes to make it worth picking up another. Just felt they milked it to death :/ just my opinion though. But that could be said for many other series i love like Mario and Zelda so i dunno what my problem is, lol.

It's true the Pokémon games are rather repetitive.
I feel the same way about them so I skipped quite a few and only got 1 from each pair. it is ridiculous for them to expect you to pay over again just so you can get another set of pokemon but even so...I still want to buy them someday

if you could get new pokmon via dlc that would spell the end for nintendo's franchise

Thats sorta how i felt when Mario Maker dropped. Like, if we can just make pretty much whatever side scrolling mario level we want and play damn near endless levels, does that spell the end for side scrolling mario games? Is Nintendo actually going to continue the "New" Super Mario Bros line up or are they just gonna continue and expand upon Mario Maker?

nah I think they will always make new games coz no-one can make the charm like they can. even if they make the games just for kids they will always make them. I don't think they will stick to Mario maker at all but they were just pleasing their fans for a while while sorting out more games

I plan to play some of Pokémon Blue tomorrow but it may take a while to show it coz I gotta process it. I am going to record it for the channel as a one off (at least for now) so I can show you guys my experience. I haven't played it in year so this should be fun!
